At GK ghat, a mix of culture from across country

People from various cultural backgrounds, including Bengali, Avadhi, Bihari, and Assamese, gathered at Astha Kunj Park in Greater Kailash to immerse idols of Goddesses and Gods in their traditional way. The immersion ceremony was accompanied by music from the Assam Regiment’s band, as well as dancing and drumming. Over 20 registered Durga Puja pandals participated in the idol immersion, which marked the end of Navratri and the victory of good over evil. The festival, although celebrated with different names, revolves around the same deity and has variations in rituals and idol forms.
