Bajrang Punia appointed working chairman of All India Kisan Congress after joining party

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has approved wrestler Bajrang Punia’s appointment as the working chairman of the All India Kisan Congress. The announcement followed Punia and Vinesh Phogat joining the Congress party. Both wrestlers had participated in protests against former BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over sexual harassment claims, ahead of Haryana assembly elections.
