Bapi Hansda recovers in time to join Indian team in Lima

Bapi Hansda, a promising Indian sprinter, overcame a dengue scare to reach Peru for the U20 World Athletics Championships. Initially at risk of missing the event, his health improved, allowing him to compete in the 4x400m relay and possibly the 400m. Hansda, who trains at Odisha HPC, previously won silver in the 2023 Asian Youth Athletics Championships.
