‘Basanti’ does a ‘Viru’, climbs mobile tower for love

A 20-year-old woman from Maharajganj’s Semra Raja village scaled a 50-meter mobile tower to protest against her boyfriend, a 24-year-old truck driver from the same village, and his family who were against their marriage. The woman alleged that her boyfriend had gone missing and claimed that he did not want to marry her. Onlookers captured the incident on mobile cameras and shared it on local WhatsApp groups. The police had to climb the tower to bring her down safely, and an FIR was lodged against the man for causing hurt.
