B’desh interim govt: Yunus takes charge of defence, 26 other portfolios

Muhammad Yunus, Nobel laureate distrubuted portfolios to the cabinet after he took oath as Bangladesh’s interim leader.. Yunus will be overseeing 27 ministries, including defense and education. This comes after Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled to India amid protests. The cabinet includes career diplomat Mohammad Touhid Hossain, retired brigadier general M Sakhawat Hossain, former Bank governor Salahuddin Ahmed, and former attorney general A F Hassan Arif.
