‘Beyond rare’ white alligator born at Florida park
Florida’s Gatorland welcomes a rare leucistic white alligator, the first of its kind born in human care. The park now has the largest collection of rare leucistic alligators globally. The newborn female, along with her normally colored brother, are healthy and consuming bite-size pieces of raw chicken and nutritional supplements. Leucistic alligators have blue eyes and white coloration with patches of normal coloration. The park plans to showcase the new additions to the public in early 2024 and invites the public to suggest names for the alligators on social media.
