Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh endorses govt’s new Unified Pension Scheme

The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) supported the government’s new Unified Pension Scheme (UPS), which includes benefits they had long advocated for, such as a guaranteed pension of 50% of the basic salary and enhanced government contribution. However, the BMS noted the UPS still lacks some features of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), like the non-contributory nature and commutation facility.
