‘Bid to tarnish image’: Baghel on claims he got Rs 508cr from betting app promoters

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) claimed that a cash courier, Asim Das, has been caught with Rs 5.39 crore which had been arranged by the Mahadev App promoters for Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel’s election expenses. According to the agency, Baghel has been given Rs 508 crore till now. The ED has also discovered benami bank accounts of Mahadev App with a frozen balance of Rs 15.59 crore. The Congress party alleges that the BJP-led Centre is using the ED to intimidate opposition parties.
