Bihar sees 15th bridge collapse in a month

The Parman River bridge in Forbesganj block, Araria district, collapsed due to floodwaters. Enayat Khan noted the bridge’s closure since 2017 and repairs in 2020-21 by Prabin Kumar. Built in 2008-09, its collapse resulted in the suspension of 15 engineers for negligence. Additionally, Chaitanya Prasad cited ineffective monitoring. Higher officials were informed, and a checklist was sent.
