BJP to urge NHRC to probe recruitment drive deaths in Jharkhand: Himanta

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma calls for the NHRC to investigate the deaths of candidates during physical tests for Jharkhand excise constables, attributing them to excessive heat. Urging the state government to pause these tests and offer compensation, Sarma also promises BJP’s support for victims’ families. Tests run from August 22 to September 9.
