BJP’s Jagdambika Pal appointed chairperson of joint panel on Waqf bill

Jagdambika Pal, a senior BJP Lok Sabha member, was appointed chairperson of the joint committee of Parliament to examine the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. The bill faced opposition protests and was referred to a 31-member committee, with members from both houses. The committee is expected to submit its report by the next parliamentary session.
