Boy threatened to shoot self with dad’s gun, rescued after 12-hour operation

A Class XII student in Lucknow’s Jankipuram locked himself in a room and threatened to shoot himself, sparking a standoff with police. Authorities, including a psychiatrist, tried to communicate with the boy. After hours of negotiation, he handed over the pistol around 3 am and was safely rescued. He is now being counseled by experts.
