CBI serves notice to ex-CM Harish Rawat in hospital

Former chief minister Harish Rawat, currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Dehradun, has been served a notice by the CBI in connection with a sting video case from 2016. The notice requests his voice sample and comes after a similar notice was issued in June this year. The sting video allegedly shows Rawat trying to save his government during a floor test in the state assembly. Rawat responded to the notice on Facebook, expressing surprise at the timing of the visit and suggesting that he is being targeted for posing a threat to the country’s integrity and democracy.
