Centre owes Bengal ₹1.5L cr, hurting welfare schemes: Didi

CM Mamata Banerjee criticized the Centre for unfair funding of welfare projects like NREGS in Bengal. She claimed that the Centre owes Bengal Rs 1.15 lakh crore, which could have been used for development. Mamata planned to meet with PM Narendra Modi to demand the owed amount. She also announced 70 projects worth Rs 90 crore and promised land pattas and housing support for tea garden workers. Mamata criticized the BJP for their unfulfilled promises of Rs 15 lakh in each account.
