Chief secretary wants ongoing civic work to be done by Oct 20

The Chief Secretary of Chennai, Shiv Das Meena, conducted inspections to assess the progress of road and stormwater drain work in the city. He instructed officials to complete stormwater drain work in certain areas by October 20. Meena also reviewed road work and requested highways to cease road cut work on several major roads. The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) has already re-laid over 500 roads in various areas of the city. Additionally, road cut permissions were obtained for restoration work in extended areas.
