Citing teacher’s suicide note, HC refuses to quash case against BEO

The Kalaburagi bench of the high court has rejected a petition to quash proceedings against a block education officer (BEO) in connection with a teacher’s alleged suicide. The court stated that the contents of the suicide note and other circumstances need to be examined to determine if it is abetment under section 306 of the IPC. The BEO has been accused of harassment, but the court noted that the question of fact cannot be decided at this stage, and a full investigation and trial are required.
