CM Ashok Gehlot’s midnight visit to Vyas seen as bid to woo Pushkarna community

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s late-night visit to BJP legislator Suryakanta Vyas, who was denied a party ticket, has sparked speculation in Jodhpur. Gehlot, in an attempt to win over the Pushkarna community, which is Vyas’s core voter base, sympathized with her and took responsibility for the ticket denial. Gehlot visited Vyas to honor her service to Jodhpur and criticized the BJP for cutting her ticket despite her praise for him. Gehlot’s move is seen as a strategic move to win over the Brahmins in the Soorsagar constituency.
