Conversions in UP: 835 cases registered, 1,682 arrested in 4 years

Since 2020, the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act has seen 835 registered cases and 1,682 arrests. The Ghaziabad commissionerate and districts such as Saharanpur recorded the highest actions. Senior officers monitor the probes. Convictions have been achieved in four cases, with ongoing investigations and trials for others.
