Core engineering courses are the new talk of town

In 2023-24, students from six core engineering courses at College of Engineering, Guindy and Madras Institute of Technology achieved 100% job placements with pay packages between Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. Experts attributed this success to growth in infrastructure, chip manufacturing, and renewable energy sectors. The construction industry and electric vehicle manufacturing also fueled demand for core engineers.
