Crew with first astronaut from Turkey launched on flight to space station

Turkey’s first astronaut, Alper Gezeravci, embarked on a space journey alongside a European crew, marking a milestone for Axiom Space. The crew, including Walter Villadei, began their 36-hour journey to the International Space Station aboard a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule propelled by a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida. Upon arrival, the crew is set to be greeted by the ISS’s current inhabitants, comprising astronauts from Nasa, Japan, Denmark, and cosmonauts from Russia.
