December deadline set for dual mode DG sets, but industries want more time

The Central Air Quality Monitoring (CAQM) has ordered industries in NCR to switch to dual mode DG sets of 70% gas and 30% diesel by December 31. However, industry representatives are concerned about the short deadline due to the high costs and waiting period for gas connections. The Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) has raised these issues with the district magistrate and deputy commissioner of industries. IGL, the sole gas agency in Noida, denies any delays and states that connections are provided within 60 working days.
