Delhi: 2.2 lakh complaints on 2 apps flag pollution, civic issues

The Green Delhi app, launched in 2020, has received 71,000 pollution-related complaints so far. Over 63,000 complaints have been resolved, but more than 7,000 are still pending. The highest number of complaints came from areas under the North and South Delhi Municipal Corporations. MCD 311, another app, has received 1.5 lakh complaints since 2018. A senior official of the Delhi environment department stated that green marshals visit the complaint sites and pass on details to the concerned departments for resolution. The official urged more people to download the app to help make Delhi cleaner.
