Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court extended CM Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody in an excise policy case until August 8. The CBI charged him with conspiracy in excise policy irregularities since March 2021. The agency alleged that Rs 44.45 crore was sent via ‘hawala channels’ to Goa from June 2021 to January 2022, supposedly for AAP’s election campaign. This sum is part of the alleged Rs 100 crore kickbacks AAP received, as mentioned in an earlier chargesheet.
