Delhi man held for cloning NID intake site

The cybercrime police in Ahmedabad have arrested a man in Delhi for cloning the National Institute of Design’s (NID) admission website. The accused had cheated six students out of approximately Rs 30,000 by convincing them to take admission in a private institute. The NID authorities had approached the police after receiving emails about another fake website claiming to be linked to the institute’s 2024 admissions. The police have registered a complaint for forgery and are investigating the involvement of a private institute in the cloning.
