Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seizes nearly 9.5 kg of smuggled gold on Jaipur-Mumbai flight, 2 arrested

DRI officers intercepted two passengers on a Jaipur-Mumbai flight, seizing 9,487 grams of smuggled gold worth ₹7.69 crores. Acting on a tip-off, officers discovered the gold hidden in the aircraft. The duo, using fake identities, have been detained under the Customs Act, 1962. Further investigations are ongoing to dismantle the smuggling network.
