Doctor rape-murder case: CBI team arrives in Kolkata to begin investigation

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took over the investigation into the rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata, following Calcutta High Court orders. The medical community protested, demanding justice. The National Medical Commission advised medical institutions to ensure safer work environments. The victim was found dead at RG Kar Medical College on August 9.
