ED seizes South Delhi property of fugitive defence dealer

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken possession of a commercial property in south Delhi allegedly belonging to fugitive defence dealer Sanjay Bhandari. The property, registered under SB Hospitality and Services Pvt Ltd, has been struck off and is no longer in existence. The ED has expressed concerns that the assets owned by Bhandari’s entities could be illegally occupied. Bhandari had fled India in 2016 while being investigated for tax evasion and alleged involvement in defence deals. The ED has also discovered that Bhandari acquired properties abroad through shell companies.
