Fibre optic networks ‘sabotaged’ in several parts of France

The fiber optic networks of several telecom companies were “sabotaged” in six French regions, excluding Paris. This followed coordinated attacks on France’s high-speed train network before the Olympics. The attacks disrupted travel for 800,000 passengers, with 700,000 eventually managing their trips. Enhanced security measures have been implemented, including drones, rail security agents, and maintenance workers.
