Firecracker licenses surge in Dehradun despite air pollution warnings

Dehradun district administration issued 1,068 firecracker licenses, higher than the previous two years. Environmentalists are worried about rising pollution, urging stricter regulations and enforcement. Public awareness is lacking. Meanwhile, officials are monitoring sales and will take action against unlicensed sellers. Presently, Dehradun has only 13 licensed bulk vendors.
