Founded by Hasina, Bangladesh crime tribunal summons ex-army chief, 19 others for ‘crimes against humanity’

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) of Bangladesh has summoned 20 individuals, including ex-army chief Ziaul Ahsan, in connection to alleged genocide during the July-August uprising. This follows arrest warrants against Sheikh Hasina and others. The tribunal, reconstituted by interim Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus, will commence hearings in November.
