Fruits & vegetables top list of all crops in value terms, reveals NSO report

In India, ‘fruits and vegetables’ emerged as the leading crop group in 2022-23, capturing a 28% share of the total crop value, surpassing cereals at 27%. The output of ‘fruits and vegetables’ rose significantly from Rs 2,87,000 crore in 2011-12 to Rs 4,34,000 crore in 2022-23 at constant (2011-12) prices.
