Gehlot apologises to HC for his ‘corruption’ in judiciary remarks

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has apologized to the high court in response to a PIL seeking criminal proceedings against him for his remarks about the judiciary. Gehlot claimed that his statements were distorted and misconstrued by a publication, and that he has never encountered corruption in the judiciary. He requested the court to accept his apology and dismiss the PIL. The matter will be heard on November 7. Gehlot’s lawyer stated that the CM has the utmost respect for the judiciary and that his concerns were based on the statements made by former judges.
