‘Girl taken out of protection home by employees, raped’

A case has been filed at Haldwani police station against two women employees of a child protection home, accusing them of serious offences including rape and Pocso Act violations. The accused employees, Deepa and Ganga, allegedly transported a 15-year-old girl out of the protection home where she was raped. District magistrate Vandana Singh visited the employees and the minor in custody. CPI(ML) demands immediate disclosure of the identity of the accused and calls for the closure of such institutions.
