Google Maps reaches this milestone, three ‘major’ AI updates coming to app

Google Maps, now used by over 2 billion people monthly, is receiving three major updates powered by its AI model Gemini. These updates include enhanced exploration with personalised recommendations, improved navigation features, and expanded Immersive View to 150 cities globally.
