Google Meet is getting this feature in picture-in-picture mode: What it means for users

Google Meet received an update to its picture-in-picture feature, which now activates automatically when users switch tabs during meetings. This enhancement eliminates manual triggers, ensuring continuous visibility while multitasking. The rollout began on August 26 for Rapid Release domains, and on September 10 for Scheduled Release domains, targeting Google Workspace customers and personal account users. It is Chrome-exclusive on desktops.
