Government bans over 150 fixed-dose combo drugs

The government has issued a ban on the manufacture, sale, and distribution of over 150 fixed-dose combination drugs. These include painkillers, multivitamins, and drugs for diabetic fatty liver and irritable bowel syndrome. An expert panel found them ‘irrational’ and risky for humans, leading to the ban under Section 26A of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
