Gujarat: SUVs lead 43% increase in high-end car sales in FY24

Vehicle sales in Gujarat surged, particularly in SUVs and luxury cars, with a 43% increase noted between 2022-23 and 2023-24. Cars priced Rs 20-50 lakh saw the most significant growth. Notably, 60% of these sales occurred in rural areas, driven by increased incomes and liquidity among farmers. Urban residents also registered vehicles in rural areas to save on taxes.
