Haiti: Inmates killed in 3rd prison break this year

In Haiti, around a dozen individuals were killed following a prison break in Saint-Marc. Eleven suspected escapees were shot dead by police, while one was apprehended. The incident resulted in extensive damage with dormitories and archives set ablaze. The prison housed over 500 inmates, leading to fears of a mutiny among the staff.
