Hansal Mehta on 10 years of ‘Shahid’: A lot of gratitude for what it has given to all of us

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta celebrated the 10th anniversary of his film “Shahid” and expressed gratitude for the opportunities it brought him. The critically acclaimed biographical drama marked the beginning of Mehta’s collaboration with actor Rajkumar Rao. “Shahid” is based on the life of lawyer and activist Shahid Azmi, who was assassinated in 2010. Mehta and Rao have since worked together on several successful films. Mehta’s latest project, “The Buckingham Murders,” starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, recently premiered at the 67th BFI London Film Festival.
