Haridwar’s village head sacked for having more than 2 children

Reshma, the village head of Nagla Khurd in Bahadrabad Block, was removed from her position for violating the two-child policy after her third child was found to be born in September 2019. Despite a notice, Reshma didn’t respond, leading to her dismissal on August 27 under the Uttarakhand Panchayati Raj Act 2016.
