HC: Can’t cut insurance claim of biker for not wearing helmet

The Karnataka high court ruled that an insurance firm cannot reduce the claim amount of an injured biker for not wearing a helmet if they are not at fault for the accident. Sadath Ali Khan, injured in a car collision, was awarded Rs 6,80,200, enhanced from Rs 5.6 lakh, by the court against the car’s insurer.
