Hike minimum monthly wage to Rs 32,500, says government staff body

The Cabinet’s approval of UPS provided a significant boost to central government employees, as stated by Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM) representatives who met with PM Narendra Modi. The JCM chief also pushed for revising the minimum wage and lifting the ban on new job posts in government departments, including the railways.
