‘Hindi must be made acceptable, not imposed’

Home minister Amit Shah stressed the need to make Hindi more acceptable and conversational while promoting it alongside regional languages. At the diamond jubilee celebrations of the official language and the 4th Akhil Bharatiya Rajbhasha Sammelan, he emphasized that Hindi should complement other Indian languages and be promoted through general acceptance rather than force.
