Hollywood’s actors strike nears 100th day: All you need to know

The strike by film and TV actors, which is now approaching its 100th day, shows no signs of ending soon. Talks between the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists and studios broke off on 11 October, with the studios claiming the actors’ demands were too expensive. The actors are picketing and rallying in an attempt to get the studios back to the negotiating table, but there is no indication of when that might happen. The strike is the longest in the actors’ union’s history.
