India warns global fertiliser suppliers against profiteering
India warns global fertiliser suppliers against cartelisation and situation-based pricing, as a steep price rise in di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) is unacceptable. India, a major importer of fertilisers, will seek alternatives if this is not addressed. The country urges global firms to consider India-specific pricing with reasonable profit margins. India has introduced nano urea and nano DAP as alternative fertilisers, educating farmers through Kisan Samriddhi Kendras. The government has ensured stable fertiliser availability and recorded agricultural output amidst high global commodity prices.
