The Indian Army is developing military-grade 5G and 6G telecom apps in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. These apps aim to enhance intelligence and operational efficacy with the help of Artificial Intelligence-enabled decision-making tools and predictive analytics. The Military College of Telecommunication Engineering has become a hub for AI research, with a 5G lab and a testbed for military use cases. The Army is also focusing on upskilling personnel in digital and cyber security, and aims to establish a 5G network along the border for improved communication.
