Indian Navy responds to drone attack distress call

Indian Navy’s INS Visakhapatnam, currently deployed in the Gulf of Aden to counter piracy activities, swiftly answered a distress call from a Marshall Islands-flagged ship. The vessel, known as MV Genco Picardy, sent out the call on Wednesday evening. Fortunately, all 22 crew members, including 9 Indian nationals, were safely evacuated with no reported casualties. The fire that had broken out on the ship has been successfully extinguished.
