‘Indians to be among top users of in-flight internet’

Viasat predicts Indians will become top consumers of in-flight internet services as satellite communications boom, mirroring heavy data consumption on the ground. Viasat’s global president, K Guru Gowrappan, anticipates a surge in IFC adoption by Indian airlines, with a fleet size of 650 expected to grow with 1,100 new orders. Viasat offers IFC services to leading airlines globally. IFC adoption rates are 75% in North America, 49% in the Middle East, and 35% across Europe.
