India’s last 16 hopes face Syrian hurdle

Five teams have secured their places in the knockout stage of the AFC Asian Cup and just two -Malaysia and Vietnam – have been eliminated, leaving the remaining 17 sides to grab the 11 other spots on offer. India and Syria both have their eyes on the third place in group B, but for any hope of qualification, the teams must register a win in their concluding group clash at the Al Bayt Stadium on Tuesday.
