Insurance premium GST is like tax on life’s uncertainties: Nitin Gadkari

Union minister Nitin Gadkari urged finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman to consider removing GST on life and health insurance premiums, citing their deterrent effect on growth. Gadkari forwarded a request from the Nagpur Divisional Life Insurance Corporation Employees Union. The removal may not happen, but discussions will continue in August by the GST Council.
